About Me

Teniel Sabin (she/her) is a community-rooted leader, consultant, and author with over 25 years of experience working in long-term partnership with Latino and immigrant communities. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Crece Conmigo, where she supports culturally responsive, trauma-informed programs focused on early childhood development, family mental health, and collective well-being.

Teniel’s work is grounded in humility, accountability, and relationship-based practice. Rather than centering herself as the expert, she focuses on creating spaces where caregivers, families, and community leaders can share wisdom, build connection, and strengthen the supports that already exist within their communities. Her leadership is shaped by lived experience, disability, and a deep commitment to equity and accessibility.

In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Teniel works as a consultant supporting organizations, educators, and community leaders to build sustainable, people-centered systems rooted in reflection, care, and shared power. She is the author of multiple educational and wellness resources, including Respira, Suelta, Sana, a self-care guide offering practical strategies to help women care for themselves without guilt.

As a mother and community ally, Teniel remains committed to solidarity-based leadership and to nurturing spaces where families and communities can thrive — together.

I love teaching others what I have learned, and empowering them to grow to be the best parent or caregiver they can.
